Furmanite International, the technical services company geared to maximising asset uptime, has announced it will open an office in Bahrain this month (January).
The Bahrain establishment will be followed by a further office in Saudi Arabia in the near future, as part of its growth plans in the region. The offices will offer Furmanite’s range of on-site, on-line services coupled with its technical and safety standards to help operators keep their assets earning and operating efficiently.
Furmanite is establishing the new offices to service the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia markets direct, and to support its existing licensees operating in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. The Bahrain office opening will be the first direct representation the company has had in the Middle East, and comes as a result of customer demand.
Heading the Furmanite Middle East operation will be Khairy Ahmed.
Furmanite will provide its full portfolio of services including on-line pressure leak sealing, on-site machining, Trevitest on-line safety/relief valve testing, and hot tapping, among others, via its new offices, to operators in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries predominantly, as well as power and other industry sectors.
In addition to the on-the-ground Furmanite presence (including locally based multi-skilled technicians and equipment), the Bahrain (and later Saudi Arabia) office activities are fully supported from the UK head office with additional resources where required.
“We have a strong contribution to offer industry operators in the Middle East, which is an important market for us, to help them maximise asset uptime and profitability,” said Furmanite International overseas business manager Paul Smith.
“Whether the requirement is for new build or plant extension projects, or maintenance of existing plant, Furmanite’s high quality services can offer significant time and cost savings, representing high value. With our Bahrain office in place, and a further office due to be opened in Saudi Arabia, we are now in an even stronger position to provide the best possible service, as well as supporting our licensees.”
