A number of companies operating in the oil and gas sector but based in Dubai’s Techno Park took part in the Arab Oil and Gas Show in November.
Techno Park, described as the largest technological hub in the Middle East, had a 42 sq m pavilion at the exhibition.
Showcasing their range of products were Techno Park tenants Proclad Group, Cimac, Technolube Lubrication Systems, Quality International and Pacific Control Systems.
Cimac and Pacific Control Systems also participated in Arab Instrumentation and Automation 2005, the international exhibition for instrumentation, control and automation professionals, which was introduced during OGS 2005. Both the events were supported by Techno Park.
Abdullah Ahmed Al Quraishi, CEO, Dubai Techno Park, said the OGS was a good platform from which to showcase the park’s many benefits. “While the park’s tenants come from across the economic spectrum, a significant number of them are leading players in the high-potential oil and gas sector.
By participating together with these companies at OGS 2005, we are certain that more companies involved in the oil and gas sector will be inspired to set up facilities at Techno Park, thereby further boosting the tenant portfolio,” Al Quraishi said.
Praising Dubai Techno Park was Anselm Godinho, managing director of IC&E, the organisers of the exhibition. “Dubai Techno Park has established itself as a world-class industrial complex and a centre for high-tech manufacturing for regional and international companies. Through its strong participation at OGS, Techno Park will be able to leverage the show’s excellent networking platform to effectively highlight the host of facilities and incentives it offers oil and gas companies establishing operations within the facility.”
Dubai Techno Park has the backing of the Government of Dubai as well as many private and semi-private organisations.
Proclad Group International showcased its products in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors.
It provides a host of blue-chip clients, including Saudi Aramco, BP, Shell and McDermott. Cimac, a worldwide non-profit association that brings together manufacturers of diesel engines and gas turbines, users such as ship owners and rail operators, as well as suppliers, oil companies, classification societies and scientists, projected its activities. Techno Park is viewed as a hub of great potential.
