Reynaers continues to be an important player in the regional construction market as evidenced by contracts it has been receiving for its range of building products.
Parties seeking Reynaers Middle East’s expertise and material come from the banking, sports, educational, office construction and residential sectors.
The company recently supplied material for a multi-purpose hall at Ajman University with the total surface of the curtain wall expected to total 10,000 sq m. Consultant for the project is Adnan Saffarini with Darwish Engineering Emirates and Becon Construction serving as contractors. The system used was Reynaers CW50 –hl with cancelled opening.
Reynaers materials are also being used for National Bank of Kuwait’s local branch. “The challenge was to supply the material profiles and accessories in about two weeks and the system that will be used is CW 50-SC four-sided structural glazing,” said Reynaers ME managing director Ali Khalaf.
The company has since won contracts for three more branches, which Khalaf attributed to “the fast delivery and excellent detailed drawing supplied by our authorised fabricator Kuwait Ahli Aluminum.”
Reynaers has been associated with other recent projects in Kuwait.
“At Al Wazzan headquarters, located in the free zone, we will use Reynaers curtain wall CW 50-SC 4 side structural glazing with mechanical fixation,” commented Khalaf. Another project it is supplying to is First Tower, located in Kuwait City and facing the Gulf highway.
In Bahrain, the company has won a major project, which is a 16-storey building being built for Waleed Rushood.
The project is located in a very prestigious location opposite Seef Towers and has a unique design. The following Reynaers products will be used in the project: a curtain wall CW 500HL two sided; a sliding system CP 45PA; a casement window and hinged door CS 59PA.
Also in Bahrain, Reynaers has supplied material for customer Abdul Aziz for the Riffa and Al Shabab sport clubs.
“In this project we will use our conventional curtain walling system CW50 and there will be new products in this project. It will be the first in Bahrain to use sun-screening BS100. These are government projects and it was a change for us to get approval to use a Reynaers system in this project from the contractor, consultant and the Ministry of Works,” said Khalaf.
Abdul Aziz has fixed Reynaers’ curtain walling system CW 50-SC with concealed opening windows in a 14-storey building in Jufair for Waleed Al Kooheji.
