Hashish: dealing with savvy customers

On the occasion of Telecom Arabiya, MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) announced the launch of a new solution for the mobile office known as Push eMail.

This new service allows MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s customers to send and receive their emails from their handset devices. The new solution pushes new emails automatically to mobile devices and no user interaction is required.
Mahmoud Hashish, chief commercial officer, said the company had made it possible for small and medium-sized businesses to receive emails directly on their handsets and to see for themselves how Push eMail makes everyday working life “simpler, more convenient and more efficient.”
Hashish commented: “To further emphasise our leadership position in introducing the latest in wireless and mobile technology to our residential and corporate customers in Bahrain, we are very excited to be the first operator in the Middle East to provide the Push eMail service and help them migrate to the new era in mobile technology. We have techno-savvy customers in Bahrain and thus there is a lot of interest in the market for mobile email solutions. Smartner was our solution of choice because it is handset agnostic, rich in features, simple to deploy, and meets our strict security requirements.”
With Push eMail from MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), email is forwarded automatically to the customer’s mobile handset using Smartner Duality Always-on Mail solution and MTC-Vodafone’s GPRS, Edge and 3G networks. There is no need to dial up. Users can receive, send, edit and forward emails direct from the handsets from any location, as well as view and forward attachments in formats including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe (PDF).
