

Saudi Arabia’s Al Kifah Batching Plant (KBP), the Middle East’s only manufacturer of mobile, portable and static concrete batching and mixer plants and accessories, has announced it will begin work at its factory in Hofuf, Eastern Province, in the next six months to expand production capacity and manufacture new products.
Capacity will be from increased from 26 to 40 plants per year, while the new products the company will be making are pan mixers, twin-shaft mixers and transit mixers which the company earlier imported.
“With its plants operating in most Middle East countries, KBP has maintained its reputation by adopting the latest innovative design techniques that allow many combinations to suit customers’ specifications and environmental considerations,” said general manager Abdul Rahman Al Katheer. The accessories it makes include complete aggregate sand washing plants, cement silos, radial and static conveyors and electric control panels.
KBP plants are designed to be wet or dry or a combination of both. “The company also offers refurbishment of existing plants, bringing a customer’s equipment to the same high standards that it achieves with its new equipment,” said Al Katheer.
The plant control systems can be supplied for manual operation or for functions facilitated by the latest technology computer batching systems, tailored to suit customer’s requirements. Control cabins can be sited at mixer platform level, or in a suitable position on the ground.
In addition to its extensive range of concrete batching and mixing plants, Al Kifah Batching Plant offers the ‘KB’ series of truckmixers in skid-mounted format. These are designed and manufactured in modern, purpose-built facilities. Truckmixers feature a low centre of gravity for improved road handling, high-grade steel drums, continuous welding and capped spiral blades plus rigid mounting frames and a telescopic discharge chute.
Industry-proven components are used throughout to ensure long service life and minimal maintenance demands. All units are supplied grit blasted and in universal primer finish with full mounting service available. The company also complies with customers’ painting requirements.
The company also offers batching plant spare parts such as pneumatic cylinders, valves, piping and fittings; load cells for all types of installations; Chevron and flat conveyor belts; conveyor rollers and transformers; silo filters, level indicators and pressure relief valves; tubular cement screw conveyors; butterfly valves and aeration ads; electric and pneumatic vibrators; bin activators; shaft-mounted speed reducers and traverse geared braked motors.

The products are being introduced through sales representatives, national and international exhibitions and Gulf Construction magazine. Al Kifah Batching Plants Factory has its offices in the UK and UAE for customer services and sales orders.
Last year, the company achieved a sales turnover of SR42 million ($11.19 million) against SR37 million in 2003. It plans to touch the SR50-milllion mark this year.
“Our quality and the high qualifications of our sales services team ensure that our plants function at the most economical level compared to the imported ones. They are also most suitable for the requirements of the Gulf and Arab market,” said Al Katheer.
The company’s biggest customer in Saudi Arabia has been Saudi Readymix Concrete Ltd (KSA), having sold it 12 batching plants. Other customers are Al Massad Co, which has bought five plants, Abdul Razzak Qanbar Ansari (four), Ameron Saudi Ltd and Ebrahim Block Factory (two each), Readymix Saudi Arabia, Alesco Readymix, Al Bena Readymix, Al Haddad Readymix, ETE, Al Shamrni Readymix, M Bin Ladin Co, Nasser Block Factory, SADIP, Inco and Al Rajhi Readymix.
In the UAE, Tremix has bought six plants, Gulf Readymix three and Transgulf Readymix two. ASCORP and MB MIX are also its customers.
Its main customers in Qatar are Al Sharqi Readymix, Qahtani Industries, Hassan International, Al Issa Group of Services, Khalid Hammad Readymix and AI Misnad Readymix.
And in Bahrain Awal Readymix and Bahrain Building Equipment are the main customers.
In Kuwait, KBP’s main customers are Al Mahaliya Readymix, Kuwait Top Mix and Al Watania Readymix.
Al Kifah Construction Equipment, a branch of Al Kifah Holding Company, is the sole agent for Jun Jin concrete boom pumps.
