As a manufacturer of quality office furniture, Riyadh-based Steelcase Jeraisy Ltd is a hard act to follow.

Its reputation has not come easy, says a company spokesman. “It took Steelcase Jeraisy resoluteness in attending to the finer points of furniture making, cutting-edge technology, a grasp of customer needs and an overall dedication to maintaining the highest standards.”
All that, coupled with its partnership with the world leader in office furniture, Steelcase Inc USA, puts it in an absolutely advantageous position, assuring customers the products will have the mark of great proficiency.
Steelcase Jeraisy, set up to meet the needs of corporate Saudi Arabia, has production facilities across a vast area of 40,000 sq m. Ever since it was established, the joint venture has supplied a steady stream of professional office products that today adorn many a company’s floor space.
The company’s various brands have been designed with functionality and comfort in mind as well as a smart and aesthetic get up to suit the applications for which they will be put to use.
“Steelcase Jeraisy is set to consolidate its position as a manufacturer of a complete range of products from classical models to the most modern ones,” the spokesman says.
“This has been possible only because of its proactive management approach in attending to customised needs.
“Using all the features offered by our latest design software tool Pro Engineer (Pro/E) our product development team offers competitive solutions with reduced product realisation time, which is crucial for everybody including our clients.
“We were able to win some very prestigious projects because of our ability to meet customer deadlines.”
The company’s design technology embraces, besides Pro/E, the BSI-registered ISO 9000-2000 quality management system with further enhancement from SAP, a prominent ERP tool for improved productivity.
Innovation is an important aspect of Steelcase Jeraisy’s success. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Jeraisy, the local partner of the joint venture, has strongly supported the Steelcase Jeraisy management team’s initiative to design and produce new high-quality, world-class office furniture.
A significant feature of this new product is that customers will be supplied within short delivery periods once orders are received. The new furniture will also take care of the aesthetics side, the spokesman said.
That’s not all. The company has announced it will launch during the first quarter of this year a new range of storage products.
There are initiatives for other new products in response to growing demand. These and Steelcase Jeraisy’s tried and tested existing range are expected to widen the export base, said general manager Raymond Chaplow.
“Our products in general and Quid systems in particular have been in great demand in recent times,” the spokesman says.
The Quid system is described as  “the complete open-space planning solution”.
“Quid is a versatile panel system that lets you optimise your reception area, call centre, individual work station and team area, among other arrangements,” comments the spokesman.
“Quid meets the demands of call centre workers with ergonomics, comfort and optimised space.” The system is provided with ergonomic worktops.
Other well-known Steelcase Jeraisy brands include Doue, Answer, T520, Triad. Max-Stacker, Lateral Files, Rally and Series 9000.
