Al-Mutawaa Trading Company, established in 1976, is a leader in sourcing products for the building and construction industry in Oman.

The company has been able to bring the best of the world to Oman, says marketing and sales development manager Ramez Sharabati.

Al-Mutawaa represents more than 80 principals from around the world.

Al-Mutawaa has a 1,800 sq m showroom at its headquarters and a 10,000 sq m warehouse/distribution area.

The business activities of the company are divided into four divisions. Each division is headed by a qualified sales manager and other field sales engineers.

The Building Materials Division markets products such as ceilings and partitions, wall and door protection, expansion joint systems, entrance matting, exterior decorative renders and finishings and raised access floor systems.

The Electrical Products Division markets indoor and outdoor lighting including tubular systems, recessed and surface-mounted ceiling fixtures, track systems, modular outdoor systems, integrated decorative ceiling systems, pendants, floor and table lamps, luxury crystal chandeliers, switches with decorative finishes, floodlights, streetlight poles and masts, decorative outdoor poles, hand and face dryers and water macerators.

Its Sanitary & Special Projects Division offers bathroom suites, bathroom fittings, electronically-operated sanitary fittings, wall and floor tiles, and swimming pools.

The Engineering Products Division deals in wastewater, petroleum, chemical and oil and gas industry, including fire-fighting products. It is divided into three sections: a water products section, and industrial products section and a fire fighting section.

Al-Mutawaa also has a service department consisting of qualified engineers and skilled technicians who undertake the installation of the materials and interior decoration works.
