Swedish corrosion management specialist Introteknik is introducing to the Middle East its range of rust-busting paints including Isotrol.
The anti-corrosion paints were showcased at Chemtex and Corrosion Middle East 2004, which took place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from September 14 to 16
The event, organised by International Expo-Consults (IEC), was the region’s only international show for the chemical, petrochemical, chemical process technology, corrosion control and management industries
“Isotrol is an ideal rust protection system, when, for different reasons, the degree of cleanliness needed for surface protection with traditional systems is not possible to achieve and red lead is unavailable due to environmental reasons.” said Lars Kjellberg, general manager Introteknik.
“It also has exceptional penetration capability into crevices, and in combination with our epoxy/polyurethane coatings, Isotrol will considerably extend the lifetime of the coating system in tough corrosive environments and thus minimise maintenance costs.”
In addition to introducing the Isotrol rust protection system, Introteknik launched a number of other products new to the Middle East including Graffit Green, an anti-graffiti and building protection system, Cemflex, a flexible coating for concrete floors and walls, and the innovative Silan technology that prevents stains like oil, soot, wine, cola, ketchup and other aggressive contaminants from adhering to treated surfaces.
“Corrosion costs the region’s industries millions of US dollars a year, but experts say more than a quarter of this could be saved by employing state-of-the-art corrosion management practices,” said Mohammed Falaknaz, vice president, IEC.
Introteknik took part alongside its Middle East agent, Mohammed Amir Bajarai Trading Establishment.
