AYTB considers its fabrication services as the cornerstone of its business

As the Gulf’s industrial scenario widens and takes on a heightened degree of complexity, the issue of experience becomes particularly pertinent.

When a firm has performed creditably in fulfilling a particular work order, it is more likely to be called up again. Over a period of time, consistently good performances bring in their own rewards. That has been the glorious experience of AYTB over nearly a quarter of a century.
The company has grown from its roots in Saudi Arabia to provide a range of services including plant construction, fabrication and operation and maintenance to other states in the Gulf region.
“AYTB’s services are modular in concept and can be tailored to the exact needs of each individual client,” a company spokesman says. “The company has the experience and depth to handle large projects, yet is small enough to ensure that all projects receive the personal attention of top management.”
Since 1979, when the company was established, it has gained experience in industrial complexes including oil refineries, gas processing, petrochemicals, steel mills, air separation, feedstock pipelines and power and desalination. The client list includes major international engineering companies and blue-chip establishments such as Saudi Aramco, the Sabic companies and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.
“AYTB has a distinguished record of managing large numbers of people and equipment to deal with state-of-the-art technology in both new grass roots industrial plants and major additions to existing plants while production is still on-stream,” the spokesman comments.
“Throughout the years, AYTB has successfully executed an impressive number of projects across a diversified range of industrial sections. These projects include mechanical erection and electrical and instrumentation installation, in addition to managing civil and building works.”
AYTB stresses its expertise in mechanical erection includes steel structures, pipeworks, spools, static and rotating equipment, heavy lift management, HVAC, painting and insulation.
In electrical and instrumentation installation its expertise lies in cable pulling, electrical conduits and wiring, power panels and instrumentation and control systems
AYTB considers its operations and maintenance division as the cornerstone of its business. The division provides total plant operation and maintenance, scheduled or emergency shutdowns, plant modifications, commissioning and start up.
“AYTB is a single source for virtually any services required to maintain a variety of industrial plants,” the spokesman says, adding it has successfully completed more than 100 shutdowns throughout the kingdom since 1989.
With regard to fabrication, AYTB facilities in Jubail and Yanbu support heavy industry throughout Saudi Arabia with services in piping, speciality steel products and post-weld heat treatment. Its capabilities also include fabrication and welding of speciality metals such as titanium alloys and most grades of aluminium.
“The fabrication facilities offer quality workmanship and a wide range of production services for virtually every type of fabrication process technology from the most simple to the most advanced,” says the spokesman.
Elaborating on the fabrication facilities in Jubail and Yanbu, the spokesman says they are designed for the sole purpose of producing high-volume quality pipe spooling.
“We utilise technology which provides an integrated system of sheet cutting, pipe spooling and material and quality control and which enables us to provide customers with products of an international standard,” he says.
In speciality services, AYTB provides on-site machining, rotating equipment repair, furnace tube replacement and repair, supplementary manpower and in-kingdom and international procurement as well as housing, catering and transportation services.
The company is also the exclusive distributor in Saudi Arabia of Centracero and Schmidt & Clemens centrifugally cast tubes and static casting fittings, including reformer tubes, harps and manifolds for the petrochemical industry; coils and transfer lines for ethylene cracking furnaces, and tubes and coils for industries involved in the direct reduction of iron ore.
The company also points out that its millwrights and machinists provide quality on-site servicing for virtually any system component, keeping maintenance costs and down time to a minimum and the plant operating in peak condition. Its machine shop facility at Jubail also undertakes in-house precision machining and exchanger and condenser re-tubing and repair. Additionally, the company maintains a number of housing facilities including community-style accommodation such as the one in Al Yusr village in Jubail.
“As the Middle East economies and demand grow, so does the need for new sophisticated industrial facilities. AYTB’s growth and development over the past several years parallel the growth of the energy and production industries it serves,” the spokesman observes.
