Air conditioning units manufacturer Emicon SpA of Italy is looking for a Gulf distributor to promote a wide range of solutions in the civil and industrial fields including water chillers, heat pumps and roof-top and precision air conditioners.

"We have been contacted by some people during the main exhibitions for air conditioning all over the world, but with no successful results," said Emicon official Fiorella Grippaldi.

"We perfectly know that the Gulf region is a very good market for air conditioning where our main customers Trane, McQuay, Carrier etc are still present, and our aim for the near future is to look for a distributor well-introduced in the market so as to promote our company and products."

Grippaldi said that while the company was now seeking a distributor it could also evaluate the possibility of setting up a production facility in the region. "But this not our primary goal," the official said.

Projecting its models, Emicon says it can suggest suitable solutions to customer-specific requirements and supply products fitting various sectors (air conditioning units for banks, hotels, museums etc).

It said evaluations for environmental impact took into account three themes: noise pollution, warming of the earth's atmosphere (the greenhouse effect) and ozone layer reduction.

"In order to fulfil the increasing demand for units with minimum noise levels and environmental impact, the company has planned units' series in silence and ultra-silence versions," it said. Emicon has supplied to sophisticated plants, computer centres, banks, GSM centres, museums and picture galleries. "The air conditioners designed by Emicon engineers for museums and picture galleries can manage besides thermoigrometric values in exhibition rooms, the drive of air diffusers according to a progressive feed principle following visitor flow." This peculiarity won Emicon a 48-unit supply meant for air conditioning the new Richelieu wing at the Louvre Museum in Paris."

Emicon counts among its customers the Art Gallery in Moscow, the Ministry of Defence in London, the Ministry of the Treasury in Rome, the Siemens factory in Hanover (Germany), the Fiat factory in Arese (Italy) and the Volkswagen factory in Worth (Germany). Emicon was certified for ISO 9001 in 1994.

Emicon has designed units with scroll compressors (GPE) and semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors for the simultaneous production of cold water and warm water.
