Empower sets $119.13m in cash dividends for H1 2026

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower) will distribute interim cash dividends of AED437.5 million ($119.13 million) to shareholders for the first half of 2026.

This is equivalent to 4.375 fils per share and 43.75% of the company’s paid-up capital.

The world’s largest district cooling services provider and listed on the Dubai Financial Market said the pay-out is as per the Board of Directors’ decision to do so.

The distribution is in line with Empower’s dividend policy and reinforces the company’s commitment to providing shareholders with sustainable and predictable returns. Empower has maintained regular semi-annual dividend distributions since its listing on the Dubai Financial Market in November 2022.

Empower’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in March 2026, approved cash dividends of AED437.5 million for the second half of 2025. 

With the interim dividend of AED437.5 million announced for the first half of 2026, Empower continues to deliver on its dividend policy, which provides for an annual dividend distribution of AED875 million for 2025 and 2026.

Cumulative cash dividends soar to AED3.45bn

Since its listing on the Dubai Financial Market in November 2022, Empower has paid approximately AED3.01 billion in cumulative cash dividends to shareholders. Upon payment of the H1 2026 interim dividend of AED437.5 million, cumulative cash dividends paid since listing will reach approximately AED3.45 billion, demonstrating Empower’s consistent track record of shareholder distributions while continuing to invest in the growth and expansion of its business.

The dividend distribution is supported by Empower’s strong financial and operational performance during the first half of 2026. 

The company reported revenue of AED1.519 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 4.5%, while net profit after tax increased by 16.2% to AED468 million. EBITDA reached AED773 million, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year, reflecting continued business growth and operational efficiency.

Empower continues to pursue its growth and expansion plans while maintaining a disciplined approach to capital allocation and financial management. 

The company’s established business model and cash generation support its ability to balance sustainable shareholder distributions with the funding requirements of its ongoing operations, infrastructure development and future growth opportunities.

Empower’s dividend policy is designed to balance sustainable shareholder returns with the financial flexibility required to support business operations and future investments. Dividend distributions take into consideration the company’s financial performance, cash flows, liquidity requirements, capital structure, market conditions and future funding requirements.

Shareholders registered in the company’s share register as of October 1, 2026 will be entitled to receive the interim cash dividend. The last entitlement date is September 29, 2026, the ex-dividend date is 30 September 2026, and the record date is October 1, 2026.
