Bilfinger wins FEED consultancy contract for key Oman fuels project

Global industrial services provider Bilfinger has announced that it has secured a major contract from Shinas Marine Fuels & Oil Terminals to provide Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) consultancy services for the delivery of the first Phase of its premium energy project coming up at the Port of Shinas in Oman.

The symbolic signing ceremony took place during the Gulf Green Mobility Forum in Salalah, in the presence of Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and other senior officials.

As part of the FEED Phase 1 Study, Bilfinger will provide its engineering and consultancy expertise to help define the project's technical and commercial framework, supporting the development of a modern and sustainable marine fuels facility in the sultanate.

It will also help deliver cleaner marine fuels and support regional emission reduction initiatives, it stated.

The event was also attended by top government representatives, industry leaders and investors who were in the Omani city to discuss ways to help shape the future of sustainable transportation and maritime development in the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Muntaser Al Hashmi, Sales Director Middle East, said: "This milestone further strengthens Bilfinger's growing presence in the maritime and infrastructure sectors across the Middle East and highlights our commitment to delivering high-value engineering and consulting solutions that support our clients' long-term ambitions."
