This year’s Saudi Building and Interiors Exhibition (SBIE) will once again be a magnet for the international construction trade, organiser Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions says.
SBIE will be held between April 17 and 21 at the Jeddah International Exhibition Centre.
“SBIE 2005 is already on course to surpass 2004 with unprecedented exhibitor bookings and visitor enquiries, an Al Harithy spokesman said. “Leading Saudi and Arab companies will be exhibiting alongside a record number of international firms from France, India, Italy, Germany, Spain and Taiwan who will be joined by national pavilions from China, Cyprus and Thailand as well as by the largest ever group from Turkey occupying an area exceeding 1,000 sq m.”
Running concurrently will be high-profile symposia organised by the Saudi Council of Engineers – Makkah Al Mukaramah. Among the major contracts signed at SBIE 2004 was one signed by local firm Alf Electric Company with a Saudi contractor to supply wiring accessories worth $8 million for 1,500 residential villas in Africa.
