Among Autoclave Engineers’ innovations of recent months is a group of air-driven, positive-displacement, high-pressure liquid pumps designed for service with oil, water and many chemicals.
The ASL series is available in a variety of drive ratios and includes both single and double air-drive designs that are capable of up to 60,000 psi (4,135 bar). Manual “hand-operated” options are available in the company’s ACHL series pump line and its AHL series double-acting, double air-drive pumps are designed for customers looking for a combination of high flow and high pressure.
They are easy to install and operate; standard drive ratios include pressures to 60,000 psi; pressure maintained without energy consumption; requires no lubrication and an external spool valve for easy maintenance is available.
The company has been providing additional air-to-pressure ratio options within each of the pump product groups in its website data.
Drawings and models
Recently the company announced the availability of 2D and 3D pump drawings/models that assist customers in product layouts needing a high degree of accuracy. Each pump will have a link from its product specification page to these drawings that are available to download directly into any of 14 CAD software systems or be converted into one of 14 different file types that are suitable to import via download or email.
Typical applications include: pressure test stands, burst testing, autofrettage, chemical injection, gauge testing, work holding, jacking and lifting systems and valve actuation. Manufacturers of all these systems and products will find these drawings easy to find and easy to use.
Since 1945, Autoclave Engineers has been a worldwide expert in the design and production of high pressure valves, fittings, tubing and now air-operated pumps and pump systems. The company says its products are designed to be safe and reliable while operating under extreme pressure and temperature conditions. With pressures up to 150,000 psi (10345 bar), Autoclave Engineers has been serving petrochemical, chemical, waterblast, waterjet and oil and gas industries.
