LG offers new security products

LG is offering pre-emptive management products in the security field

LG Electronics announced a wide range of advanced new security products that combine to provide a powerful central management system.

The new products were announced at the 12th China Public Security Expo (CPSE).

LG's central management system comprises newly-released IP surveillance cameras, an enhanced hybrid DVR, upgraded access control features and a surveillance monitor to enable preventative monitoring and reliable, effective and efficient surveillance.

LG's central management system successfully demonstrates our technology leadership combined with the understanding that the security industry is moving away from passive monitoring towards preemptive management,' said Simon Lee, general manager of LG Electronics in Saudi Arabia. 'We are confident this solution will help our customers achieve their business goals by providing proactive measures and convenient remote management.'

The central management system features solid software capabilities, while also interoperating with non-LG products.

The system provides software to enable multiple clients to connect different network devices simultaneously,
providing the ability for an operator to centrally manage and control smaller local offices. The system allows multiple IP cameras and video servers to be connected through a network and stores data for search, playback and diagnosis along with video and image exporting. Other than supporting multiple views, the system also includes a map and hot-spot function which links maps with cameras, sensors and relays to enable users to setup areas for special monitoring and alerts.

Newly-launched camera line
LG's most-up-to-date camera product line offers high resolution, excellent image quality, built-in functions and a trendy design that fits industry needs and blends into any environment.

IP camera
The LVW700 and LSW900 are two new IP camera lines launched during CPSE. With built-in video content analysis (VCA) functions to provide smart surveillance, they relieve security staff from having to constantly monitor a screen.
The VCA enables surveillance systems to be more proactive and effective, providing valuable data that can be extracted from the systems. As the VCA analyses data stored while it monitors a certain spot around the clock, it is able to deliver useful information to help security managers preventively take action as well as save time checking surveillance cameras and monitors.

Zoom camera
The LC903 product is the world's first X37 optical zoom camera to incorporate the DSP XDI chipset. It offers advanced features to improve image quality regardless of day time or night.

Half-inch CCD fixed camera
LG's LSX701 is a half inch CCD camera, providing high sensitivity and high-quality screen resolution with enlarged pixel size to reduce smear and blooming in bright environments.

Varifocal dome camera
The LV821 offers the highest performance in low light thanks to its built-in high performance digital signal processor (DSP), and a 'privacy zone masking' function to ensure privacy for areas or objects that should not be included in the monitored footage.

PTZ dome camera
The LT903 and LT913 have a built-in DSP chipset, optical zoom, improved resolution, and a vandal-proof feature to withstand abuse - a crucial feature for cameras that are installed outdoors.

Recording system and access controls
The LG LE5016 is a hybrid DVR that supports both IP and analog video inputs. It enables businesses to transition to a network-based security solution by incorporating older network cameras with newer digital devices. It features H.264 compression to deliver high-quality images. The LAFP10-R is a fingerprint authentication system that features biometric access control, support for a range of communication interfaces, real-time access monitoring and log data management.
