

Tebodin Middle East Limited, a subsidiary of Tebodin BV Consultants & Engineers of the Netherlands, is looking at further expansion in the region in the areas of project management, design and engineering and construction management.
The company was established in Abu Dhabi in 1974, initially to serve the emirate's Water and Electricity Department and has, over the years, executed a large number of projects in the water transmission, storage and distribution sector.
Later on, the multi-disciplinary capabilities of the holding company were introduced locally to serve a wider spectrum of clients in the UAE.
In particular, service to the oil and gas industry has been developed and TME is now serving the Adnoc group of companies in Abu Dhabi as well as major oil and gas companies in Dubai in many key projects.
Special expertise was built up to tackle problems with concrete structures and several major concrete rehabilitation projects have been carried out.
Tebodin has also developed design and project management services for industrial projects, including the manufacturing industry. These services include a full range of procurement services.
Other areas of specialisation include environment & safety (including Hazops, environmental assessment, risk analysis and audits) and telecommunication projects.
The company says its expertise in oil and gas, industrial, infrastructure and environmental projects enables it to handle free zone projects. It has been involved with a number of projects in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafz). These include the Phase 2 extension to the fire water network, an RA (Risk Assessment) for the entire Jafz area, an EIA (Environment Impact Assessment) and a Quantitative Risk Assessment for ENOC-EPCL refinery in the free zone.
TME's major industrial projects include the tissue paper mill in Mussafah for Abu Dhabi Industrial Projects Company where it did the design, engineering, tendering of the project and will supervise the construction.

Projects outside UAE include - Hidd power & water project in Bahrain; Aluminium Bahrain calcining plant; and detailed design and support services for Sabtank in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, on behalf of CAT, the main contractor.
The company says its main philosophy is to maintain a team of high quality engineers in all disciplines in the UAE, able to perform independently and to execute engineering projects of up to 50,000 manhours. Its team of experienced construction managers and supervisors is available to ensure efficient and high quality completion of construction works.
Quality assurance is implemented as a key issue in order to manage complex engineering projects.
TME employs 200 personnel and its offices are fully equipped with modern technical computing and CAD facilities. With branch offices in Dubai, Al Ain and Bahrain, the company is looking at further expansion in the region.
