Doors specialist Al Kuhaimi Metal Industries is currently implementing orders worth nearly $14 million, the company reported.
The figure includes supplies worth $8.64 million meant for King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Jeddah.
Al Kuhaimi is in the process of delivering hollow metal doors and frames, rolling and garage doors and associated hardware for the university.  The university orders have come through contractor Saudi Bin Ladin Group.
The company will also supply hollow metals doors and rolling and garage doors to Palm Jumeirah-Marina in Dubai through its subsidiary Rimal International Trading Company. The value of the orders is nearly $2 million,
Other orders it is carrying out include two for Bahrain’s new Khalifa Bin Salman Port that are worth nearly $1.4 million. Al Kuhaimi will be delivering security doors and rolling and garage doors. The orders were placed last year by Bhatia.
For a prison in Oman, Al Kuhaimi is delivering detention doors through contractor Roots Group. The order is worth $889,890.
The company will supply $844,248 worth of security doors for the Baylusin Track through contractor Saudi Oger.
Among other supplies the company will make is one for hollow metal doors for installation at King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals’ student housing, phases 3 and 4, Dhahran.  Valued at $630,519, the order was placed by Al Yamama Company.
Al Kuhaimi was founded in Dammam in 1975 with the aim of meeting growing demand for engineered metal products.
“Over the years the company has evolved and become an integrator for security and safety products encompassing the manufacturing of a wide range of metal doors together with electronic and mechanical security systems,” a company statement says.
The company has been awarded the quality management system certificate ISO9001:2000.
Headquartered in Dammam, Al Kuhaimi has branches in Riyadh, Jeddah, Cairo, Dubai and Beirut and distributors in Saudi Arabia, other Gulf states and the wider Middle East. It plans to set up plants in the UAE and Qatar in the next five or six years.
The company operates three factories, of which Plant 1 is devoted to manufacturing hollow metal door products and precision sheet metal fabrication.
Plant 2 produces rolling and sectional door products while Plant 3 manufactures special-purpose door products and undertakes general metal fabrication.
