Sungwon OBO, a member of Makateb Holding, has announced it recently signed a one-year renewable contract to provide exclusive facilities management (FM) services to Michigan State University (MSU) Dubai.
“The new agreement serves as a testament to Sungwon OBO’s growing presence across key sectors in the UAE, as it delivers customised FM services to one of the country’s premier educational institutions,” a press release said.
The company is now finalising a specially developed strategy to optimise the lifecycle of Michigan State University Dubai’s facilities. Beginning March 1, it will officially commence delivery of FM services which include cleaning and security services to Michigan State University Dubai’s new headquarters in Dubai International Academic City.
Commenting on the contract, Eric Raes, CEO of Sungwon OBO, said: “Appointing Sungwon OBO to provide exclusive facilities management services for its brand new facilities in Dubai International Academic City manifests a high level of confidence in our expertise and capability to satisfy the university’s strict quality standards. This partnership will definitely further strengthen our reputation as the preferred FM services provider of prestigious organisations in the UAE.”
A pioneering facility management company in South Korea, Sungwon OBO, delivers a full range of integrated FM services including mechanical and electrical maintenance, cleaning, security, consultancy and energy management.
Makateb Holding is the first to offer in the UAE a unique rating system similar to that used in the hospitality industry that ranks the office buildings from 1 to 5 stars to reflect the facilities and services available such as gyms, coffee shops, libraries and business centres among others. The system ensures the same level of luxury and quality services clients would expect from premium hotel operators.
Presently headquartered in Dubai, Makateb Holding will soon branch out to other locations across the UAE and the Middle East.
