Metito has worked on many projects in the UAE and the Gulf

Metito, the international water desalination and wastewater treatment specialist, has announced that it has signed a $10.4 million turnkey project with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), which will include the supply and installation of high-purity water treatment plants, tanks and electrical works at station G in the Jebel Ali Power Complex.
One of the facilities, a mixed bed demineralisation plant, will process 2 x 90 cu m per hour of high-purity water.
“The growth of Dubai is rooted in water,” said Mahmoud Kabeel, Metito plant sales manager, Dubai, Northern Emirates and Oman. “With this augmentation and construction, Dewa and Metito are facilitating the use of the power needed for added growth in the Jebel Ali area. Metito is honoured to be awarded the contract from Dewa.”
Metito, founded in 1958, is considered an example of a Middle Eastern company that has grown to be a world leader in its field.  The company operates locally in 14 countries in the Mena region, and supplies its plants internationally to locations as far apart as Argentina and Australia from its base in the UAE. Some of the company’s recent notable achievements in the UAE include wastewater treatment plants for the Dubai Investments Park and Palm Jumeirah, as well as different projects in Abu Dhabi for ADSSC and Adwea.
Elsewhere, a recent major project it completed was a waste water treatment plant at the new Doha Internatonal Airport
The 28,713 cu m per day plant was completed in January. The $12.5 million plant is currently undergoing site acceptance tests, which are necessary for a plant of that size. As the airport is not yet completed, the individual systems will be kept under a mothballing period of nearly two years until the new airport is commissioned.
