Peddinghaus Corporation, with production facilities based in Germany, Spain and the USA, has been instrumental in the development of new technologies for the effective fabrication of structural steel profiles in the Middle East.

Within the past three years, Peddinghaus has introduced state-of-the-art equipment featuring today’s technologies for the following fabrication processes:

Drilling of Profiles:
The new Peddinghaus PCD 1100 provides multi-spindle drilling of all structural shapes up to 1,100 mm wide x 460 mm high. The BDL 1250/9 is the industry benchmark for multi-spindle drilling at top speeds. This drill line is employed at more top fabricators than any other model

Processing of Plate and Angle Detail:
The new Peddinghaus FPDB 2500 machine incorporates the technologies of high speed drilling, hydraulic punching, carbide part marking, and thermal contour cutting – via high-definition plasma or oxy-fuel in one compact, pass-through designed machine; all capacities up to – and including – 2.5 m wide x 75 mm thick can be processed
The Peddinghaus AFCPS 823 Anglemaster machine processes heavy plate up to 305 x 25 mm and angle iron up to 200 x 200 x 20 – the perfect solution for any tower or miscellaneous detail application.

Speed Sawing Technology
The patented new DGP 1270 band saw is designed to perform at top production levels on a continuing basis due to its’ patented “pivot from above design”. The strong superstructure of this machine supports a 14.5 kw motor and 67 x 1.6 mm thick blade that powers through the biggest columns with the fastest cutting times in the industry
A newly designed DG 1100 band saw is the perfect complement to the PCD 1100 drill with full miter capacity up to 60 degrees right and left. The PCD 1100 employs micro mist blade coolant technology which is an environmentally friendly yet highly productive solution to flood coolant problems.

Structural Burning of Profiles
The Peddinghaus ABCM 1250 has proven to be the choice for progressive fabricators who require the ability to perform typical thermal cutting on structural sections. The patented three torch design enables a wide range of productivity – from simple copes, blocks, flange thinning and beveling to more complex configurations such as haunches, castellations, and beam splitting.
“Peddinghaus is pleased to join the steel construction community in recognising Zamil Steel for their 30 years of contributions to our industry. Peddinghaus is very pleased to be a business partner with such an outstanding firm,” a company statement said.
