KC 1201 robotic head plasma coping system

The markets of Saudi Arabia and its neighbouring states continue to boom, especially in the construction sector where the need for structural steel is playing a decisive role.

In order to process raw steel and handle increasing demand, Zamil Steel is using the latest machine technology from Germany.
For many years Zamil Steel has relied on world-class processing technology from Kaltenbach, the German-based multi-national market-leader in structural processing and handling systems.
Several new Kaltenbach machines were recently installed, just in time for Zamil Steel’s 30th anniversary. The new processing machinery is considered a very timely installation, to help satisfy the increasing demand for structural steel in the region. Using the latest CNC automated technology, the new machines comprise an HDM 1432 heavy-duty circular saw and KBS miter cutting structural band sawing machines of type KBS 920, KBS 1010 and KBS 1301. Also included is a range of state-of-the-art beam drilling machines of type KD 1015, KDX 1215 and KDX 2015, together with a KC 1201 robotic head plasma coping system and three KF 1505 high-speed plasma plate- processing centres.
All machines are integrated via extensive Kaltenbach motorised conveyor and crossway systems, to enable the rapid transfer of material throughout the line. With Kaltenbach machinery, Zamil Steel can saw, drill and profile-cope even the heaviest of structural steel columns and beams, as used in the world’s most advanced building struc-tures. Last but not least, the Kaltenbach technology achieves structural steel processing accuracy that enables immediate fabrication, whilst maximising production control and logistical efficiency.
Kaltenbach congratulates Zamil Steel on their 30th anniversary.
