The Dubai Bypass Phase-III

Jotun Paints has secured several major projects from the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) for coatings to protect a number of bridges and flyovers across the emirate.

Jotun said it would supply a total of 1.5 million litres of its Jotashield Tex Ultra paint to coat the Business Bay Crossing, Al Garhoud Bridge, Floating Bridge, Interchange 4, 4.25, 5 and 5.25, The Palm Jumeirah Gateway and middle and end bridges; Dubai Metro, Dubai Bypass, Arabian Ranches Roundabout and The Palm Jumeirah Monorail.
The RTA has budgeted around Dh45 billion ($12.2 billion) to execute a number of road and bridge construction projects, including the construction of new main roads and adding to the number of lanes over Dubai Creek by 2020.
Jotun has worked closely with reputed contractors including Dutco Bealfour Beatty, BeSix Construct, Wade Adams, Al Naboodah Contracting, Taisei Corporation, WJ&P and Bin Hafeez General Contracting for several projects initiated by the RTA.
In other Jotun news, the company announced that it won a KD70,000 ($250,000) contract to supply high-quality paints and coatings for the Central Fruit & Vegetable Market in Kuwait.
The contract includes the supply of the Jotafloor range to coat the floors of the stalls and the cold storage area, which occupies a total area of 90,000 sq m, one of the largest in Kuwait.
