Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC), a sector business of Zamil Industrial and the leading Middle East and international manufacturer of air conditioning systems, has bagged diverse new projects in the educational, commercial and industrial sectors.
The combined projects’ value is in excess of SR62 million ($16.5 million) with sites located in the three major Saudi provinces.
In the Western Region, ZAC will provide more than 45 air-cooled screw water chillers, air-cooled condensing units, and air handling systems of various sizes and cooling capacities at multiple project sites of the Rabigh Development Project. ZAC will also supply a large number of air-cooled screw water chillers, packaged rooftop air conditioners, condensing units, fan coil units, and double skin air handling units of various sizes and cooling capacities to the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) Shoiaba plants complex.
In the Eastern Region, major upcoming projects for ZAC include the use of innovative climate control systems to provide a cooling capacity of over 1,000 tonnes to the Ibn Zahr OCT project, Al-Khafji Joint Operations Onshore project (KJO) and the Khurais Crude Oil project as well as to a number of buildings owned by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.
In related developments, ZAC has also been awarded new contracts for the supply of room air conditioners and mini-split units to a number of governmental, commercial and industrial organisations across Saudi Arabia.
Osama Bunyan, executive vice president, ZAC, commented: “The third quarter of 2007 has been an extremely rewarding period for Zamil Air Conditioners. Over the years, we have invested heavily in product development and in the quality processes of our engineering and production capacities. This has enabled us to manufacture products and provide services that best meet the needs of our diverse customer base — as evidenced by this particular group of projects.”
As part of its ongoing regional expansion programme aimed at fulfilling the increasing demand for high-quality air conditioning systems in the region, ZAC recently signed several new agreements with a number of HVAC distributors and dealers in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries. These distributors will take an active role in the promotion, distribution and sales of innovative consumer products in the domestic and regional markets.
ZAC was founded in 1974 as one of the first air conditioning businesses to be established in Saudi Arabia. It markets its products under various brand names – Classic, Cooline, Cool Care, Clima Tech, Kessler Clima Tech and Geoclima – depending on specific markets. ZAC’s factories are located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia and Italy.
