Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) recently announced it has secured contracts worth $177.75 million for different projects in the hydrocarbon sector in the Gulf region.

The company's modular fabrication facility (MFF) has bagged an order of $44.95 million from Technip through international bidding for the manufacture and supply of pre-assembled process modules for the handling and processing of gas, L&T informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
L&T's MFF is geared to meeting exact quality standards within compressed delivery schedules.
These modules will be installed for Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (Adgas) in Abu Dhabi. The delivery of the modules is to be completed within 18 months, the company said.
L&T also secured an order for a naptha hydrotreactor and reformer unit for $51.6 million from ENOC processing company in Dubai.
This project is scheduled to be completed in 16 months. In Qatar, L&T has won a $36.4 million contract from Pearl GTL, a joint venture of Qatar Petroleum and Shell.
This project has to be completed with 29 months, the company said.
Besides, the company has been successful in winning another $44.8 million contract from an oil tanking company in Oman.
L&T has a modular fabrication yard at Hazira, India, which is one of one of the largest of its kind in South Asia and is capable of handling the manufacture of several large modules simultaneously. Fabricated modules are tested and pre-commissioned onshore to ensure rapid and trouble-free hook-up at site. MFF’s product profile covers offshore platforms, process modules and side-mounted equipment, fired heaters, modular process plants such as continuous catalyst, regeneration units and sulphur recovery units, heat recovery steam generators, desalination plant and equipment, barge-mounted plants, modular and marine structures and mounted LPG bullets.
Apart from the open yard of the Modular Fabrication Facility, L&T has world-class heavy engineering workshops at Indian sites in Powai (Mumbai), Hazira, Kansbahal, Chennai, and Vadodara. The Heavy Engineering Division designs and manufactures the most comprehensive range of process equipment, including heat exchangers, multi-wall vessels, ultra-high pressure vessels, reactors, columns and cement kilns as well as industrial machinery and foundry products for all industrial sectors.
The workshops at Powai and Hazira are authorised by ASME to use their U, U2, S and R code stamps. These facilities also have quality systems approved by TUV, Germany and Lloyds Register Industrial Services of UK.
