A project completed by using the company’s products

US-based Plastic Components, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of plastic trims for stucco, drywall, exterior insulated finish systems (EIFS) and direct applied (DEFS) applications, has been offering a complete line of PVC accessories in the industry since 1969.

The company says it is among the originators and designers of many PVC trims and continues to lead the way with new products and solutions for EIFS, DEFS, stucco, drywall and other applications.
It can help customers looking for extra convenience or the solution to a jobsite installation problem, according to a company official.  “Our line includes a variety of top-quality products for nearly any jobsite condition – from freezing cold to extreme desert heat,” a company spokesman says.
Plastic Components’ PVC accessories and Ultra-Lath plastic lath offer cost-effective solutions to rust and corrosion and proven remedies for energy efficiency and moisture management. “All of our trims deliver aesthetics, ease of handling, reduced labour costs, superior field performance, and proven compliance with ASTM standard D4216,” the spokesman says, adding: “Our trims are listed with Intertek Testing Services NA Ltd/Warnock Hersey, the internationally known testing organisation. You not only have our promise of quality, but proof from a major third-party certification agency that our products meet or exceed the strict standards set by ASTM for tensile and flexural strength, dimensional stability and weather resistance.”
The company says it is the first PVC trim manufacturer to submit its products to an independent third-party testing organisation for evaluation and certification. ITS/Warnock Hersey conducted a comprehensive review of its manufacturing facility in Miami, Florida and its processes.  The evaluation process is ongoing.
As well as offering trims for drywall, EIFS and DEFS, it offers trims for one-coat/hard coat (drop plaster) stucco.
“We have a product to fit your needs –  Ultra-Lath plastic lath sheets, rolls or strips; control or slip joints; casing beads; corner bead; bull nose or reveals; Starter Trac or Drip Trac – with a lot to choose from, and a lot to offer,” says the spokesman.
Easy to use and handle, PVC trims offer the superior alternative to metal. They save time and money, and deliver a better finished product. Ready to use, they eliminate the need to build hand-formed details and field intersections onsite.
PVC trims are rustproof, non-corrosive and energy efficient as part of EIFS. They are lightweight, safe and easy to handle; easy to cut with common hand tools; UV-resistant (exterior applications); compatible with all cement-based products, paintable and easy to store and damage-resistant.
Plastic Components’ PVC trims have been used in the Gulf region, especially Saudi Arabia, since the 1970s.
In addition to solving technical issues such as rust and salt-corrosion, they reduce labour rates and speed up construction time.
The company is actively seeking distributors to market its products in the Gulf region.
