Isnad recognises there will be opportunities at the port

Support services provider Isnad, the only operations contractor at Tusdeer’s Bonded and Re-Export Zone (BRZ), is seeking a role at Jeddah Islamic Port’s (JIP) new container terminal, Isnad general manager Omar N Al-Rajeh says.

“Isnad plans to seize this opportunity for adding value as an experienced service provider,” said Al-Rajeh.
The official said the new container terminal would provide a large number of services of the most advanced kind and specialist contractors would be called in. Isnad had the competency to render the required services and was keen on capturing a share of the contracts.
If a contract came its way, it would secure equipment that “integrated with other roles,” employ qualified staff and introduce the latest work systems depending on the volume and nature of work entrusted.
Isnad would adapt its operational strategies to meet the requirements of the new terminal, said Al-Rajeh.
“Change is the only unchangeable issue in the business world and failing to take that into consideration, one will be left behind,” he commented.
“We therefore, adopt flexible and adaptable strategies that leave adequate room for moving towards the direction of business needs. Should the work in the new terminal require introducing slight or major adjustment, the Isnad management is prepared to do so easily and smoothly and without interruption.”
Al-Rajeh said Isnad was also keen on extending its services to other sectors of Jeddah Islamic Port and, in fact, to other seaports in the kingdom.
About long-term plans, he said the company would take into consideration the development of traffic at JIP. It would expand its services range horizontally by increasing staff and equipment and vertically by introducing new services such as industrial maintenance including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical and mechanical repairs, painting and masonry and plumbing and sanitary service.
Giving a background of his company, Al-Rajeh said Isnad rendered strategic services that helped develop industries including logistics and seaport operations. “The company has a proven record of providing high-quality services to its customers. Over the past 15 years, we were able to assist a large number of businesses in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam to achieve their planned objectives. Our present and future strategic plans have been set up with the country’s current exceptional development in mind.”
As part of its role at the Tusdeer BRZ, it handled all operational activities “from A to Z” and those included container handling, general-cargo, transport equipment services and warehousing, he said
“The company employs well-trained staff that can respond to customer needs in a professional and efficient manner in the shortest possible time and cost effectively.
“Strategically thinking, we bear in mind all the time that we help strengthen the national economy through servicing business. Working for our principal Tusdeer, we strive to integrate the available resources so that both parties can achieve the highest productivity levels.
“As the main contractor and the only operations contract at the BRZ, all the facility users are our customers. These customers include international car manufacturers, foodstuff stores, building materials importers, furniture distributors and electronic dealers.”
