FedEx Express says it is now providing customers in Kuwait with a dedicated international priority freight service due to its recently enhanced operations in the Gulf.
The new service offers transportation of freight shipments weighing up to 1000kg per piece and a maximum declared value limitation of $100,000 (subject to value limitations at country of destination), from Kuwait to more than 40 countries with an average transit time of three to four days.
Featuring four international priority Freight delivery options, FedEx offers door-to-airport (DTA), airport-to-airport (ATA) and airport-to-door (ATD), in addition to the standard door-to-door service. The FedEx money-back guarantee, real-time tracking and advanced customs clearance also applies to all international priority freight shipments.
Hamdi Osman, FedEx vice-president, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Sub-Sahara Africa said: "FedEx now offers the most comprehensive international priority freight service from Kuwait, backed by a money-back guarantee, real-time tracing and advanced customs clearance. However diverse their needs may be, FedEx customers can combine pick-up, transportation and four delivery options to meet their every day business needs."
The introduction of International Priority Freight to customers in Kuwait comes shortly after FedEx launched its reconfigured express transportation network. The enhancement included the introduction of three new Airbus A310-200 flights five days a week, connecting FedEx hubs in Europe and Asia via the Middle East and India. The new flights have enabled the company to further enhance the speed, reliability and customer service that has made FedEx the worldwide leader in express transportation
As a result of the new flights, FedEx is also offering reduced transit times on International Priority Freight from the UAE and Bahrain to destinations in Europe.
The service will now guarantee delivery within 2 to 4 days on an average, depending on the destination.
"The current international airfreight market is $32 billion and growing at a rate of 6.5 percent annually with countries such as China, Japan and Taiwan leading the way," said Osman. "The improved FedEx international freight offerings provide our customers with an industry-leading product that allows them to succeed in this rapidly growing market."
