2006 has been a year of major achievements for Adyard, one of the leading companies in the UAE serving the oil and gas, petrochemical, power, utilities and marine sectors.
The company won some major contracts during the year with the order book looking even better as it entered 2007. It also invested in significant improvements of its state-of-the-art facility located in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, which has enabled it to focus on more specialised engineering and fabrication works.
Adyard was awarded several prestigious contracts from international as well as local companies. One of them was a $5.5 million contract from Atlantis Holding Norway for the Umm Al Quwain offshore field. It received a Petrofac International Sharjah order for fabricating 37 pressure vessels. It was also contracted by Larsen and Toubro, India, to implement a construction package for the Gasco-Bu Hasa (Abu Dhabi) facilities upgrade project involving mechanical and civil, engineering equipment erection.
The company also won an order for the fabrication of a chemical injection module and a water injection module by Veolia Water Systems Westgarth, UK, for the Golfinho-II FPSO (floating production storage and offloading platform) project. This contract enabled Adyard to penetrate the offshore structural fabrication market. Other contracts included fabrication of 49 pressure vessels from Fluor Mideast, UK, for the Gasco-Habshan (Abu Dhabi) capacity expansion project.
Established in 1996, Adyard specialises in heavy fabrication, onshore and offshore oil and gas projects, rig repairs and workshop services. From pressure vessels to fully functional, ready-to-operate end products, such as process modules, Adyard has the capability to deliver a whole spectrum of products and services from its 80,000 sq m waterfront facility located in Mussafah.
