Metito, a leader in water solutions in the region, will further strengthen its position in one of the biggest markets for desalinated water with its new world class desalination research centre coming up in Technopark, Dubai.

The company also expects to continue on this path of growth by expanding geographic reach and product offering, says a company spokesman.
Founded in 1958, with 15 offices across the Arab and Islamic world and beyond, Metito is a specialised multinational desalination, water and waste treatment company in the region.
Having implemented over 2,000 projects, Metito provides the full range of services from conceptual design, manufacturing and installation through to complete operations and maintenance services, underpinned by a project finance capability.
Metito currently has 17 concessions in operation, and is primarily positioned to be a leader in the region’s water privatisation programmes, says the spokesman.
The new research centre will be part of the company’s new world headquarters, where it will consolidate offices, factory and chemical facilities.
“Metito is committed to providing quality products, first class service and strong local support to its clients using the latest technology,” says the spokesman.
“The company continuously strives to improve its quality control procedures and management to fulfill the customer’s quality requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives,” he adds.
The company has been rewarded many times for its dedication to conservation programmes and activities and has been ISO 9000 certified. In order to continue its commitment to health, safety and the environment, the company is currently actively seeking ISO 14000 certification, he says.
Some of the key projects undertaken by the company include the Palm wastewater treatment project, Dubai; Greens wastewater treatment project, Dubai; Port Sudan Project - seawater desalination project; AGIP KSO project in Kazakhstan: water and wastewater treatment, industrial effluent treatment and process water treatment; DIP Concession – wastewater treatment, Dubai; Um Al Quwain desalination plant project in UAE; Ajman desalination plant project, UAE; Doha International Airport project: wastewater treatment, Doha, Qatar.
Having been a long-time campaigner for reusing wastewater in the region, Metito is perfectly positioned to meet the region’s need for clean usable water, continues the spokesman.
