Danimex Communication, a global distributor of communications equipment, has expanded its Middle East and North Africa (Mena) operations considerably since opening its office in the Dubai Airport Free Zone (Dafz) in 2003 to cater to the requirements of the Mena region.

The 20-year-old Danish company announced its latest office in the region would be opened in Sudan. After coming to Dafz, it opened offices in Iraq and Jordan and established a representative presence in other states of the region.
“We have been very successful in Iraq as a lot of reconstruction work is going on there,” says James T Samuel, managing director of Danimex Middle East FZCO. “Iraq and Afghanistan are the major markets for us. Currently we are focusing on North Africa and are in the process of opening an office in Sudan and also looking at the possibility of another one in Libya.
“We are among the major suppliers to United Nations projects and most of our customers are companies involved with relief operations. Our key focus is to support our clients.”
The official said Danimex’s presence in Dubai had helped, as it was a lot easier to ship out of Dubai than from Europe.
“Our workshop and warehouse in Dafza helps us to extend support by fast and reliable customer service. We have a large stock of radios for quick delivery. We provide a high level of technical service by manufacturer-approved technicians and offer solutions based on the most recent technology. We are consolidating our range of products to become a full solution supplier of communications equipment. We also help develop turnkey communication projects,” Samuel said.
