The Motexha trade show, which has garnered strong support from the global textiles, fashion, leather and accessories industries, is making final preparations for its autumn edition.
Organised by IIR Middle East, it will be held from September 12-15, 2005 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. “Motexha Autumn, while enabling manufacturers and traders to display their brands and innovations as well as forging business ties, reflects Dubai’s position as leaders in retail, wholesaling and re-exports for the Middle East,” a spokesman for the show said.
Thailand will be represented by a strong contingent and its overall floor space will be 32 per cent larger than at the previous autumn event. New industry organisations extending support are the Korean fabric manufacturer’s Daegu Association and the Arab-Brazil Chamber of Commerce.
Commenting on the massive backing behind Motexha, Suman Manian, show manager, said, “Motexha’s 27-year credentials as the region’s leading trade show mean we give Middle East businesses the best opportunity to capitalise on the very latest from global fashion and textiles markets.”
Motexha Autumn 2005 is expected to feature over 500 exhibitors from 36 countries spanning Europe, Asia, the Americas, the Indian Subcontinent and the GCC and Levant countries. “At Motexha Autumn you can source everything from exclusive brands from Spain and Italy to the latest in mass production from China,” said Manian.
Building on the success of the recent LaunchPad fashion shows and Pure branded wear, Motexha Autumn is introducing M-Chic, a new vertical fashion segment that will provide an opportunity for exclusive and trendy fashion brands to be launched. The ‘by invite only’ zone aims to attract the most discerning professional buyers.
Highlights of the three-day exhibition will be country pavilions and areas for Pure wear, KidZone, EuroTrendz and Retail Outfitting.
The latest industry styles can be previewed at the LaunchPad fashion shows and at the Trends Forum display. Expanding product sectors at the autumn show include the swimwear and intimate wear category. The accessories section will also double in size with key international players such as Chartage from Belgium, Fine N’ Rhine from Hong Kong, UAE-based Venus International and first time-exhibitors such as X-tasty International and KI Ryoong Jewellery.
