The DSC-T7: distinctive miniaturisation

Jumbo Electronics, a UAE consumer electronics, information technology and telecommunications company, has announced the launch of the thinnest digital camera in the world — the Sony Cybershot DSC T7.

Despite the slim model, the camera features a 5.1 mega pixel resolution and an enhanced power management system for extended shooting time.
Probir Mukherjee, vice president, Sony Division, Jumbo Electronics, said: “Sony’s Cybershot range has been extremely well received by our customers in the UAE. The latest Cybershot, the DSC-T7 features distinctive miniaturisation and high-density packaging technology, making it the most stylish accessory for the fashion conscious. Going by the response we have received so far with the Cybershot range, we are confident that the new launch will be the year’s biggest hit.”
Giving details, Jumbo said the large 2.5” hybrid clear photo LCD delivered images without distortion or interference and prevented light from interfering with the displayed image, reproducing a more accurate picture without visual interference or dark spots.
“The Sony Real Imaging Processor provides a true-to-life picture, improving image quality with accurate colour reproduction resulting in a spectacular and vibrant digital image with realistic colour and tones,” the company said.
“Equipped with four individual flash modes, the built-in flash adds brilliance and colour to pictures taken in even the darkest environments.”
“Powered by the precision Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, the DSC-T7’s 3x optical zoom delivers a sharp and clear picture. There is also an added smart zoom from Sony which uses the full 5.1 Megapixel CCD to zoom into a particular object, cropping the image size without picture degradation and without compromising image quality.
Also included with the DSC-T7, is the Cyber-shot stand and multipurpose active terminal, which helps to connect to the television to enjoy the images and videos on large screen. The DSC-T7 can also be connected directly to the PC using the Cyber-shot Cradle USB connection.”
The Jumbo Group, an international industrial and trading conglomerate, enjoys a presence in over 25 countries with 28 companies.
