
Optiron FZE, one of the leading optical media disk manufacturers in the Middle East, has announced it is signing with the Government of Dubai’s Techno Park for a plot to build a multi-million-dollar manufacturing plant.
Based in Phase II of Techno Park, the state-of-the-art optical media disk manufacturing plant is part of a total investment of Dh150 million ($40.8 million) it is making in the region.
Optiron have already invested Dh25 million in Phase I of the Park and have produced 100 million all-format optical media disks. This additional investment will enable to company to produce 500 million optical disks per year when the plant becomes operational later in 2005.

The economic zone has already afforded us in Phase I exciting incentives, super infrastructure and a one-window service, proving that it is the right location for us to build our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.”
