Alumco LLC, a specialised aluminium facade contractor, which recently received the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system (QMS) certification, has said the standard will help it gain more customers and increase its market share in the Middle East and global states. 

Commenting on the achievement, Samer Barakat, Alumco’s managing partner, said: “This recognition is testimony to our superior quality standards in every sphere of industrial and managerial practice. From the time of Alumco’s inception, QMS has been placed high on our agenda.
Alumco’s ISO 9001:2000 certification was the result of a standard verification carried out by Vincotte International.
Present at a ceremony to receive the certification were Barakat; Ishtiaq Ahmed, head of certification at Vincotte; Alumco operations manager Martin Mochan, Alumco managing partner Mohammed Saif, and Emad Azmi, managing partner, Al Shafar Contracting.
