Around 500 jobs are expected to be created with the construction of a new $1 billion factory in Bahrain.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) is behind the facility, which will produce chemicals such as EDC, caustic soda and hydrogen gas.
By-products from the facility will also include water and electricity, according to KFH general manager Abdulhakeem Alkhayat.
”International parties will be brought in to operate the project,“ Alkhayat said at the opening of KFH’s new commercial branch in Adliya.
”We will release more information about the project in the next couple of months.“
