Talks are in an advanced stage with an investor to replace ABB in the Oman Polypropylene (OPP) joint venture.
ABB Lummus Global, a 20 per cent stakeholder, pulled out of the joint venture, leaving its partners Oman Oil Company (60 per cent) and South Korea’s LG International Corp (20 per cent).
OPP chief executive Mohammed Benayoune said the final-stage negotiations involved participation on an investor-only basis, although the unidentified firm has operating and marketing experience.
