

Maritime and Mercantile International (MMI) has increased the number of vehicles in its logistics stable, making it one of the largest supply chain fleets in the region. The company has also unveiled new livery for the fleet, incorporating the MMI corporate imagery.
Mike Lee, head of MMI Logistics, who jointly operates the fleet with MMI Consumer for their respective businesses, explained that the newly styled vehicles would offer more efficiency in servicing customers all over the UAE. The total number of vehicles owned by MMI exceeds 50, and includes sales routes vans, cars, distribution vehicles, mobile food storage units and refrigerated trucks.
"Our vehicles run the entire array of supply chain management tasks - from delivering temperature controlled foodstuffs to hotels, to distributing the household brands we represent at supermarkets; and from picking up time-bound containers at ports to stocking up warehouses belonging to our international principals," explained Lee. "It is a distinct business advantage to have one of the most sophisticated delivery vehicle fleets at our access, and this advantage is easily translated into increased customer satisfaction," he said.
