Gulf Craft reinforced its reputation of being an ambitious yacht and boat builder by unveiling construction plans for the Majesty 125 super yacht and launching its new sports cruiser, the Ambassador 25, and an innovative sport-fishing vessel named Walkaround 40.

The company announced its new products at the Dubai International Boat Show in March.

"The evolution of Gulf Craft into a world-class manufacturer of yachts and luxury vessels reflects the commitment and dedication of the company to the luxury yacht and boat industry," said chairman Mohammed bin Hussein Al Shaali. "Our vision to emerge as a supplier of top-class marine vessels to local and international customers has been translated into a reality today. We have grown into a 300-employee company, expanded our operations to two factories in the UAE, opened a third factory in the Maldives and consolidated our network of distributors to include 40 points of sales in 30 countries."

Al Shaali described Majesty 125 as "a luxurious and technologically advanced super yacht" and said it would cater to the different demands of top-end customers.

Discussing the new products, executive manager Erwin Bamps said: "The Ambassador 25 sports cruiser is built to international specifications, incorporating several high-quality features, which offer real value for money. The top-of-the-range features are complemented by a three-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

"The Walkaround 40 represents a floating luxury guest-house with features like a saloon and a galley, master state room, guest cabin, AC system, navigation equipments and life raft. State-of-the-art technology and a high-quality interior finish make the Walkaround 40 an excellent choice for lovers of multi-functional luxury boats, allowing to use it as a weekender, a cruiser and a fishing boat."

The company said the unveiling of the construction plans of Majesty 125 highlighted the renowned design talents of Frank Mulder and Sam Sorgiovanni. "The Majesty series of yachts incorporates high-power engines and state-of-the-art navigation systems and will be constructed under strict classification supervision. With construction work already initiated, the innovative and elegant Majesty 125 will be launched in 2005," it said.

Dubai World Trade Centre director general Mubarak bin Fahad said, "We are delighted that many local, regional and international companies are using the Dubai International Boat Show as a launch pad to introduce new craft to the market, and Gulf Craft is leading the way locally, with their sports cruiser, the Ambassador 25 and the innovative sport-fishing vessel, the Walkaround 40.

"Dubai offers some of the best boating facilities in the world, and a rapidly growing network of marinas in turn help attract an increasing number of exhibitors to participate in our show," he added.

Gulf Craft has played a leading role in the Middle East's boat and yacht industry since setting up a manufacturing unit in 1982 in Ajman emirate with a small production facility for 15- and 19-foot boats. The production capacity is now more than 200 boats per year. The company markets its boats and yachts in 40 countries worldwide.
