Indonesia has issued a late tender to buy just over a million barrels of fuels for February, cutting back requests for gasoline, kerosene and fuel oil as weak demand keeps domestic stocks high, an industry source stated.

State oil and gas firm Pertamina requested a total of 1.04 million barrels of oil products, down 20 percent from January tender purchases of 1.3 million barrels, the Jakarta-based source told Reuters.
Pertamina's monthly tenders, which are typically issued early in the preceding month, normally bring in about a tenth of the country's imports and rest supplied under term deals.
Pertamina is seeking 200,000 barrels of 88-octane gasoline, a quarter of the volume it bought for January, the source said.
This is despite the closure of a gasoline-making unit for maintenance in February, which will reduce domestic production.
It also tendered to buy 600,000 barrels of high-sulphur gas oil and 240,000 barrels of jet fuel.
