India's Kochi Refineries has issued a rare tender to sell 40,000 tonnes of low-sulphur gas oil, taking advantage of strong premium levels as Asia was starved of low sulphur supplies, traders said.

The cargo of 0.05 percent sulphur gas oil was to be loaded on January 23-27 from the port of Cochin.
Operational details must be submitted by January 4, while the deadline for price bids falls on January 9, they said.
Kochi Refineries, which has a capacity of around 150,000 barrels per day, rarely sells gas oil through spot tenders.
Prices have been supported by frigid weather in Northeast Asia.
