GPCA Supply Chain Conference will be held in-person from May 17 to 19 in Dubai

The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) has announced to hold the in-person, 13th edition of the GPCA Supply Chain Conference from May 17 to 19, in Al Habtoor City, Dubai, UAE.

The conference will be held under the theme “Future-proofing supply chains – The time is now”.

Experts from around the globe will gather again to discuss the biggest challenges, reveal how they maximised opportunities during the pandemic, and how they are preparing for the uncertainties of tomorrow.

“The two-year battle with Covid-19 has positioned the chemical supply chains in the spotlight. This ongoing crisis has provided an opportunity for the regional industry to reflect and rethink their supply chains’ exposure to current and potential risks. Today, it is imperative to streamline their practices to adopt new strategies and be resilient to disruptions,” GPCA said in a statement.

Global companies that support decarbonisation help boost the climate impact by leveraging the engagement of suppliers in creating a net-zero supply chain, adopting sustainable procurement practices, investing in critical technologies and reducing carbon emissions. And to ease future risks, chemical producers, service providers, business partners and government entities must collaborate to bring about a systematic change in the industry, it addded.
