The Tibbet & Britten fleet supports worldwide operations
UK-based logistics service provider Tibbett & Britten Group has been awarded a multi-million-pound contract to provide fourth-party logistics solutions for inbound transportation to Levi Strauss Europe, Middle East & Africa, across Western and Central Europe, the logistics company announced. Products to be handled are the Levi's and Dockers brands of casual wear.
"Tibbett & Britten will co-ordinate and manage all Levi Strauss & Co's (LS&CO) transportation from factories to distribution centres and between manufacturing plants and finishing centres across Europe," a statement from Tibbett & Britten Group said. "It will use its buying power and specialist logistics software to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The company will transport raw materials into LS&CO-owned and operated factories across Europe as well as those of its contractors and deliver finished product from these factories into LS&CO's European regional distribution centres.
"As well as providing a combination of third-party and fourth-party land-based transport services, Tibbett & Britten will be managing the transport and freight forwarding of inbound materials and finished product from around the globe."
A central service hub for LS&CO has been established at Tibbett & Britten's Nieuwegein distribution centre near Uttrecht in the Netherlands.
Tibbett & Britten Group is one of the world's top 10 logistics service providers with operations in 34 countries on five continents.
