Swift FreightÕs warehousing facility in Dubai
Swift Freight International, adidas-Salomon's warehousing service provider since 1999, recently launched its local delivery solutions for Adidas throughout the U.A.E.
"Swift now undertakes responsibility for the distribution of adidas' goods to all the major retail outlets within the UAE, thus eliminating the traditional role of the distributor," Swift Freight said in a statement.
Using its 45000 sq ft temperature-controlled warehouse as a hub for adidas' Middle East markets, Swift also provides adidas with Air Freight and Sea Freight solutions.
"Ensuring that all deadlines are strictly adhered to and keeping adidas' supply chain wheels oiled, is Swift's fleet of trucks and men always on standby and supported by state-of-the-art warehouse management system," the statement said.
"A single order might be made up of 10,000 or more pieces, with various designs and sizes, or as small as one single pair of socks, all of which is executed maintaining an accuracy of over 99.98 per cent at all times," the statement added.
"What is unique and challenging about these services is that the goods are packed and delivered directly to the retailers. Meeting Adidas' stringent requirements demands the highest level of efficiency and expertise..." commented warehouse manager Savio D'souza. "The fact that adidas has entrusted us with handling additional segments of their supply chain is reflective of the satisfaction we have been able to generate."
One of the largest total transportation logistics service providers in the region, Swift Freight International's expertise includes air, sea and over-land freight, including multi-modal transport solutions, warehousing & distribution services, special projects, total supply chain management solutions and a host of value-added services like customs brokerage and co-packing solutions.

Operating as Swift-COAG in China (Swift Logistics Company Ltd./ China Ocean Aviation Group-Shanghai International Freight Co. Ltd.), the offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou will be servicing Northern, Central and Southern China, including the Pearl Delta.
Swift already has an office in Hong Kong (Swift Freight Hong Kong Ltd.), thus giving the group a formidable reach across China. Currently employing 55 professionals, the offices in China are fully operational and headed by industry stalwarts with decades of experience in the regional transportation logistics industry. Swift-COAG in China also holds the much-sought-after Class A licence, thus allowing the company to operate as a fully fledged independent freight forwarder. The launch of these offices takes the tally of Swift's offices to 31. These are spread across the Middle East, Africa and the Far East.
