CAN-PACK Group, the world renowned manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans, has officially inaugurated its new manufacturing plant at Dubai Investments Park, the ceremony coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the group.

The 150,000 sq ft facility with a daily production capacity of 1.75 million cans is the group’s second manufacturing plant in the area. The facility will also serve as a warehouse and distribution centre for the group.

It will help it boost exports to the Middle East and North Africa, East Africa and the Indian Subcontinent.

The inauguration was attended by Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, and Philip Impink, president and CEO of the Can-Pack Group.

Speaking at the inauguration, Impink said the new manufacturing facility would enable the company to serve its clients more extensively. “Since first establishing a beverage can factory in Dubai Investments Park in early 2007, we have witnessed a growing demand for high quality one-way packaging. This facility has enabled us to bring our total capacity of cans to over 1.6 billion per annum or a spectacular five million cans per day.”

Can-Pack Group’s high quality production of cans has received attention from major companies worldwide such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Heineken, Carlsberg, SAB-Miller, and InBev. To ensure its products remain environmentally friendly, Can-Pack only uses water-based paints and varnishes that eliminate the negative impact of printing and varnishing on the natural environment.

Can-Pack Middle East LLC is a subsidiary of Can-pack SA, which is based out of Cracow, Poland and recently completed 25 years since beginning its operations in 1989 under the name of Pol-Am-Pack.
