DUBAI Investments (DI) showcased innovative solutions including coloured solar glass panels at the  Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (Wetex) held in Dubai recently.

DI’s coloured solar panels are manufactured by its subsidiary Emirates Insolaire, part of Glass LLC – the glass pioneers in the Middle East. Each coloured solar module of Emirates Insolaire can generate over 130 watts electric power per square metre on roof installations or over 100 watts electric power per square metre on façades.

A pioneer in the development and application of new solar technologies and products, Emirates Insolaire produces the first-of-its-kind coloured solar glass in the world which generates electricity on its own. The company uses Kromatix patented technology which provides finished, coloured glass on both photovoltaic and thermal  solar panels.

Other DI subsidiaries, including Emirates Glass, Emirates Float Glass, Emicool, Dubai Cranes, Lite-Tech Industries and Emirates Extruded Polystyrene, also showcased energy-efficient products and solutions  at Wetex.

Abdulaziz Bin Yagub Al Serkal, general manager of Dubai Investments, said: “In line with the green initiatives undertaken by the UAE government to diversify energy sources, we at Dubai Investments are proud to unveil a wide array of eco-friendly and energy-efficient technologies and solutions at Wetex. The exhibition offers us a great platform to showcase our expertise and innovation to potential partners from across the globe.”

At the exhibition, Emirates Glass displayed its energy-efficient products including Emicool St Series, Solite Series, post-temperable products of Emicool E-Lite Series and solar control coating solutions, while Emirates Float Glass showcased its products manufactured with materials from Abu Dhabi, underlining its commitment to resource acquisition from within close proximity.

Emicool highlighted its eco-friendly district cooling services while Dubai Cranes showcased its low power run, electricity-saving cranes. Lite-Tech Industries provided an overview of its solar chargers using LED technology for harnessing renewable solar energy to provide lighting solutions whereas Emirates Extruded Polystyrene showcased its environmentally-friendly extruded polystyrene insulation board materials.
