Nighthawk LED products unveiled

The new headlamps from GE

GE Lighting has introduced two new headlamp lighting solutions, including the GE Nighthawk LED Sealed Beams and GE Nighthawk Xenon, within its Nighthawk automotive and trucking product family at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.

Their introduction followed an alliance between GE Lighting and USG Corporation to bring cutting edge products from two leading brands.

“We are continuing to introduce high-performing, innovative products, including our Nighthawk LED Sealed Beams, providing high-quality light and long-term durability,” said Rob Gill, North American automotive sales manager with GE Lighting.

GE Nighthawk LED Sealed Beam headlamps eliminate bulbs and the downtime that comes with replacing them. Instead of conventional incandescent bulbs, GE Nighthawk LED headlamps are made using the latest LED technology, so they won’t burn out and are virtually maintenance-free. This means trucks will spend more time on the road and less time in the service bay, resulting in productivity that is essential for on-time deliveries.

The headlamps are housed in die-cast aluminium, engineered to withstand impact and sealed to resist moisture and corrosion. They yield a bright, white light with a colour temperature that is close to daylight. GE Nighthawk LED headlamps are DOT compliant and do not require adapters or special tools for installation.

GE Lighting’s Nighthawk Xenon brings crisp, white light while putting up to 120 per cent more light output (measured in an area illuminated with more than 15,000 candelas in light intensity) versus standard halogen headlight technology for increased visibility.

“In addition, for those looking to upgrade headlight technologies, they will appreciate the GE Nighthawk Xenon for its ease of installation, as the headlamps can be installed without a conversion kit, GE highlighted.

These headlamps are available in a variety of sizes and shapes to meet any consumer automotive need.

The company offers an integrated ceiling
and lighting system with USG

GE PARTNERS USG
Following the partnership of GE Lighting with USG Corporation architects and designers are served a new monolithic, integrated ceiling and lighting system using cutting-edge products from two leading brands. USG’s Logix ceiling system and GE’s Lumination linear recessed luminaires are designed and tested together, making it simple to construct stylish new office, retail, hotel and restaurant ceiling lighting systems.

“Lumination LED Linear Recessed Luminaires bring crisp, pleasing LED illumination to the Logix Integrated Ceiling System. By concentrating lighting in narrow bands running the length of the ceiling, Logix provides the freedom to create modern and sophisticated designs without the constraints of a traditional acoustical ceiling, a GE Lighting statement said.

IN ONE PACKAGE
“This collaboration was about giving the architectural community what it wanted – an uninterrupted ceiling and lighting system in one package that makes designer projects much easier,” says Jaime Irick, general manager for GE Lighting North America Professional Solutions.

GE’s Lumination LED Linear Recessed Luminaires are available in four- and five-foot fixtures measuring four or six inches wide to fit Logix layouts. They consume less electricity than traditional light sources and last years longer before needing replacement.

“The continuous look of Logix panels and Lumination LED lighting is ideal for environments where a clean, uncluttered ceiling is as much a fashionable as functional solution,” says Chris Griffin, USG executive vice president, operations.
