Qatar International Cables Company (QICC), a Nexans company, and Al Fozan Electrical Materials, one of the leading distributors of leading electrical brands represented by Madar in Qatar, announced that they have signed a partnership agreement for the distribution of QICC products in Qatar’s construction sector which is now witnessing significant growth.

Among products that Al Fozan Electrical Materials will distribute are QICC’s low and medium voltage cables and electrical wires. The agreement was signed by Charles-Edouard Mellagui, CEO of QICC, and Mohamad AlFayez, cables procurement manager, Al Fozan Electrical Materials.

“This agreement is another step to fuel our consistent growth in Qatar and we are committed to introducing better operations and performance leading to profitable solutions for all parties,” said  Mellagui. “Our products are supported by guaranteed and special services, and this assures our partners that they are distributing the best solutions. QICC was established in Qatar in June 2008 as a joint venture company between Nexans and local partners. It is fully managed by Nexans and its headquarters is located in Mesaieed. It is targeting not only the local Qatar market, but also markets in the GCC and Yemen. The new plant is among the most advanced in the Middle East and North Africa region and its large plot size allows for considerable expansion.

Al Fozan Electrical Materials, established in 1983, distributes electrical brands that provide a complete range of residential and industrial products. The electrical division mainly provides cable, wiring devices, lighting, switches, EMT conduits, steel fittings, panel boards and breakers, safety switches, fans, intercoms, transformers and extension cores. The electrical division is well-established with a strong reputation in Saudi Arabia for dependability, customer satisfaction and prompt deliveries. The division has 19 showrooms covering the whole kingdom and these are serviced by three main regional stores in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah.
