Tyco launches KTM Unibody EB700

The new KTM Unibody valve from Tyco Flow Control

Tyco Flow Control has improved the pipeline integrity, performance and safety characteristics of its industry-leading ball valve range with the launch of the brand new KTM Unibody EB700 series.

The KTM Unibody is designed and certified to meet the exacting standards and service requirements of the petrochemical, chemical and oil and gas industries.

“The new KTM Unibody EB700 series raises the bar in terms of the design and performance of ball valves. It not only complements our existing OM2 full bore ball valves; it extends our KTM range of world-class products into the most demanding industries where failure is not an option and only the best is good enough,” said Jeff Roseneder, global business leader, KTM, for Tyco Flow Control.

“Our KTM products have enjoyed a reputation for pushing the envelope in terms of innovation, quality, performance and certification. The new EB700 continues that trend and meets the uncompromising standards of one of the world’s most performance and safety conscious industry groups,” he added.

The one-piece, cast body minimises potential leak paths, making it safer and more environmentally friendly than split body designs. With the addition of dual body-insert seals and shaft seals, this valve delivers absolute sealing integrity and peace of mind.

The EB700 series features a PTFE/PFA co-polymer “E” seat similar to the OM2 (EB11/12) series. The valves in sizes above DN25 (NPS 1) also provide an additional safety feature incorporating cavity self-relieving seats to relieve potential ball cavity over-pressure when the valve is in the closed position.

The series is also incredibly rugged with design compliance to ISO 17292 (2004) and ASME B16.34 (2009), and every model is fire-safe tested and certified to API 607 6th Edition by Lloyds Register, said Roseneder.

The new KTM Unibody ball valves are available in dual certified carbon steel to ASTM A216 WCB/WCC and in stainless steel, certified to ASTM A351 CF8M. Standard trim material is 316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance.

“The KTM EB700 series delivers tight isolation, cycle after cycle, in hazardous applications, where valve performance is not just desirable, but mandatory,” said Roseneder.

The new KTM Unibody ball valves can be easily packaged with any of Tyco Flow Control’s other KTM and Keystone valves and Morin or Biffi actuators, as well as Westlock controls. This provides customers with a single-packaged solution and eliminates the problems that can arise when products are sourced from multiple suppliers.
