Curtain wall is among systems Reynaers specialises in

Reynaers Aluminium, one of Europe’s market leaders in the development, commercialisation and distribution of high-quality aluminium systems for windows, doors sliding elements, curtain walls, conservatories and sun screening systems, recognises the Middle East, particularly the Gulf region, as currently one of the fastest developing markets in the world.

Founded in 1965, Reynaers Aluminium is headquartered in Duffel, Belgium and has an international presence in over 25 countries.
Construction activity in the region has grown extraordinarily over the last few years and major developments are evident in prestigious high-rise towers emerging in places ranging from residential and leisure properties to areas designated as business techno-parks.
“Developers, architects and contractors in the region are looking for innovative and high-quality solutions for realising their creative designs.  Reynaers’ comprehensive product range offers them what they specifically require”, says Ali Khalaf, managing director of Reynaers Middle East.
“Reynaers Middle East continues to be awarded contracts in different kinds of projects in the Gulf region and also in the greater Arab markets such as Libya,” he says.
“Among the first projects we supplied this year were five colleges of Ajman University involving the supply of Reynaers curtain wall CW 50-HL through Becon Aluminium.  The project required the delivery of two-sided structural glazed curtain walls with concealed open vents. The curtain wall facade has been designed to allow maximum light into the hall with its slim 50 mm sightlines.”
In Bahrain, on the other hand, Reynaers’ aluminium system will be utilised in the development of a 16-storey building at Seef for Waleed Roushod.  The consultant architect is Al Andalus Engineering, managed by Dr. Jassim Helal, and the main contractor is Ahmed l Qaed with Ashbee Metal Cladding as the aluminum subcontactor. In this project the following Reynaers systems will be used: Curtain wall CW 50 HL with canceled opening, CP 45 pa sliding windows, CS 59 CD for heavy-duty doors and BS 100 for sun screen.
Reynaers has also been involved in four projects secured by Messrs Abdul Aziz Aluminium and they are as follows: Riffa and Al Shabab sports clubs.   Here Reynaers CW 50 conventional curtain wall will be used with its concealed opening vents, CS 59 pa for its doors and windows and Reynaers’ Brise Soleil system (BS 100) for sun screen, which will provide aesthetic elegance to the building and a practical shading solution.  The architect of this project is L&O and the local consultant Ismail Khonji associated and the main contractor is Al Dahrani.
Another project is a 16-storey building at Jufair for Waleed Al Kooheji. The latest project, which Reynaers ME secured very recently, is the headquarters of Al Ayam Publishing at Janabiya with Messrs Al Andalus engineering as the architect and consultant. “The challenge is that we have to supply the material in a very short period,” said Khalaf.
In Kuwait, Reynaers ME has supplied material for a few projects and others are in the process. “With our local distributor, Messrs Kuwaiti Ahli Aluminium, we managed to secure a few prestigious projects such as Al Wazzan headquarters, Al Noumas Tower and National Bank of Kuwait branches,” said Khalaf.
“Current projects being worked out will see Reynaers Middle East gain market share in the other GCC markets and Arab countries, one of which is Libya where the main contractors Besix is installing our CW 86 and CS 59 PA at the Banque Sahelo Saharienne pour l’ Investissement et le Commerce, in Tripoli.”
