Leading wood machinery companies from Europe and the Far East have confirmed their participation at the upcoming Abu Dhabi WoodShow, also known as the Abu Dhabi International Wood and Wood Machinery Show, scheduled for October 18 to 20.

Companies with confirmed bookings are those from from Germany, Italy, Spain, Taiwan and China. They are likely to present top-of-the-line products including extraction systems and machines for sanding, coating, painting, drying, profile sanding, post-forming and other complementary equipment. They will be among more than 100 companies from 20 countries who are expected to take part in the event across 4,000 sq m of exhibition space at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (Adnec).

The event targets distributors, suppliers, interior designers, furniture manufacturers, carpenters, wholesale traders and retailers, building material manufacturers, construction suppliers and project developers in Abu Dhabi and across the Middle East.

It will also feature specialised sections showcasing key products such as clipboard and MDF, wood and timber flooring, veneer and surface treatments and furnishings.

“The vibrancy of Abu Dhabi’s construction industry is ably reflected in the continuing influx of major infrastructure projects. This development has also helped drive in an increased demand for more wood products and technologically-advanced wood machinery,” said Dawood Al Shezawi, CEO of event organisers Strategic Marketing and Exhibitions.

Event will be ‘exciting’
“We are looking to take advantage of this development with the launch of the Abu Dhabi WoodShow, which could not have come at a more strategic time. Exhibitors and visitors can look forward to an exciting three-day event as we have planned a strategic and very comprehensive programme,” Al Shezawi said.
